Father Fernandez, you were such a wonderful person. You christened my daughter, and always made everyone feel at home. My sweet Mother came back to the catholic church because of you. She passed away last year (cancer), so if you two run into each other in the afterlife, she will be glad to see you. You have been missed. Rest in Peace.

Father Fernandez was one of our favorites here at St. Joseph's in Waxahachie. We are very sad to hear of his death but happy that he is in heaven now. He made a big difference in our parish and was always available to listen.

Father Fernandez influenced my teenage years in a very positive manner. He married my late husband and me almost 32 years ago and baptized both my daughters. He was definitely an inspiration to me to live my in the presence of the Lord. I will truly miss him, though he is in a better place.

All my condolences for this unfortunate event. We will all miss Severiano, and all our prays and thoughts are with his family (for which I remotely belong to). Thanks for the time we shared together all these years in Gigosos.....it was fun to meet you and get to know each other. I will deeply miss you. It is with great sorrow that I hear of the passing of Fr. Fernandez. He holds a very special place in the hearts and souls of the members of our family. I will always remember his jovial personality that made him special and his fervent devotion to God that brought people together in trust. We truly loved the man he was and believed in his direction...he brought people together and helped us make sense of a troubled world. We are all made better by knowing him.

I am deeply saddened by this news. I also rejoice knowing he is most definitely in the presence of God Almighty! He was past at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waxahachie, Tx when I was very young. :) Then after a few years he came back! He was with us for another few years. He was here when I went to Mexico to marry by the Catholic Church over there. He was a wonderful person & he set me straight very often with very good advice. I learned alot from him. I loved him like an uncle & I will miss him very, very much. May he rest in peace. My heart & prayers go out to his family & friends. God bless you all!

Fr. Fernandez was my priest in Waxahachie and as the church bookkeeper, we shared many meals, laughs and hours just pondering life. For 18 yrs, because we moved to Vidor the same year, he was the only priest my boys had. We are so very saddened that Cristo Rey did not get to know him as we did. Rest well Fr.. We love you!
