To all John's Family,
I am so sorry for your great loss. I don't have a memory of John that doesn't put a smile on my face. A great person always sweet, friendly and enjoyed life to the fullest. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

This was a big shock. Brekel was a memorable student while at LIT. He had such a determined sparkle that one would wish every student could possess. He held such wonderful work ethics and I am sure this carried over in his career. My prayers are continued for the family that they find peace that the memories of John will be vivid and longstanding. Be blessed.

I've had the pleasure of working with John over the last 6 years and he left his mark on my life with his example. Very few people treat every single person like they are important and John did this daily with grace and patience. He enriched a lot of people's days with him just being him. Your family is in our prayers and thoughts.

I am so very saddened by John's passing, having worked with him at Helena for a few years he was always a bright light during some long days. He was always so kind and had such a presence about him. I am so sorry for his family and I will keep you all in my prayers.

I only had the pleasure of being around John for about a year when he took guitar lessons from me. In that short time he left quite an impression on me. I was very saddened by the news and I know he will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Vickie, Miss Linda, Mike, Pat, and Theresa:
I am so sorry for your loss.
I saw John a few times last year and had some good visits about old times. He was always a good friend to me, although we did get into trouble here and there growing up.
You all were good neighbors.
My thoughts and prayers are with each of you.
