Dear Carol,

Our family here in California are really sad to hear the passing of Chet. He was such a wonderful and caring person, so delighful in everyway. He made a profound impact in all of us and we will never forget for what he had done for our family when we first arrived in Port Arthur back in the 70's. I wished we could be there to give you all the support you need. You have all our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Tran's Family

Karen is my dear friend here in Northern Virginia. I am so sorry that you are enduring such grief at this time of missing your husband of so many years. Please know that you and your entire family are in the hearts and prayers of ours.

Aunt Carol,
We were all so sorry to hear about Uncle Chet. He was a good man and I am sure a loving husband and wonderful father.
He is with his brothers now and they are either playing cards or arguing or both.
I wish that our children and your children could start a relationship and keep the Talenda name in everyone's mind and help ensure that the Talenda family and all their stories are always remembered.
Our deepest sympathy,

Bob, Gail & Mitch Talenda and family

I was blessed to be Chet's son-in-law for three years and he touched my heart in so many ways. He was a loving father to Val, Karem, Maria and Joe, and made me feel like a son. He was one of the brightest men I have known and had a great wit. On his 80th birthday, I told him that I wanted to be like him when I grow up. I pray that God gives me some of the immense wisdom that he gave to his son, Chet, so I too can be a blessing to others. I also want to ask whomever reads this and our Heavenly Father to be with Chet's wife, Carol, as she adjusts to a life withour Chet. She embodies all thatr a Christian wife, mother and grandmother can be. Father God, bring peace to all who miss Chet and allow his spirit to enter your heavenly gates. I pray someday we will all be together again.
