Dear Rick and Lennett, my heart goes out to you boys. I am sorry that I can not get there to the Memorial. I got the dates all mixed up and I cant make it. But I love you all. So just know that my thoughts will be with you. Dell and Archie

Dear Erik and Lennet, I remember so vividly your always smiling mom and the photography she and your dad did for the school, band, and other events that I/we were involved in. She was indeed a very special person. Just two years ago my friend, Vicki Neal, her sister, and I drove through South Park, down almost every street, as we traveled memory lane. We passed your house on Garland, as Vicki and Joy also lived on Garland for a few years. A lot of memories surfaced that day.
The two of you certainly had model parents to mold your lives. I remember how smart both of you are and so dedicated to school and learning. Lennet, even being in the band was fun. We had lots of laughs as we indured "Hutch". And, Erik, I know you did the same in the years ahead of Lennet and me.
I know you will miss your mom a lot. She was a great lady.
Lennet, I hope to see you in April at the "big one" for us! It will be good to visit again.
With much sympathy, Mary Ann (Aldridge) Cohen

Lennet & Rick, My thoughts are with you. Your mother was a wonderful person who will be deeply missed. She was a surrogate and friend to a socially rough and ignorant teen who probably never thanked her enough for the refuge and guidance she offered. She was always ready to start the coffee and provide time for conversation to help you through a rough spot or just chat about the world.

Lennet,
I am very sorry to learn of the passing of your mother. I remember her coming to one of our high school reunion (the 30th?) functions with you. You and your family are in my thoughts.

First, my mother Virginia wants me to say how happy she is to think back on her neighbor and good friend Myrtle. There were countless mornings throughout the decades when we were growing up in Beaumont that they shared coffee and exercising after getting us off to school. And later when I found myself accidentally at parties at their house via the older Verret brothers – let’s just say I will forever appreciate her discretion. And perhaps the greatest gift from Myrtle of all, she taught my wife Carol how to cook true Cajun gumbo. Now there’s a memory that keeps on giving! We love you, Verret family.
