Mr. Hebert was a most cherished friend in my heart, always endeaing, and made me feel very special. Because of Mr. Hebert I learned to water ski and hold my head high. I am so saddened for the family and wish them all God's blessings.

Warm regards,
Aree

Dear Jane
Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. Buddy was a wonderful man, husband and father! I know he will be missed by you and your family, as well as those whose lives he touched. When I read the obituary I was reminded of what a full life he lived! I remember the first time I met him and he lived up to everything Bud had described. You two had a wonderful relationship, full of love and friendship.
Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. I believe Buddy has earned his wings and is in heaven watching over all of you.
Much Love
Sally

Dear Jane
I am so sorry! You and Buddy are my idols as an example of what a marriage should be, both partners and best friends and you with your strength and tenacity.
I am so glad Buddy isn't struggling anymore and maybe he's water-skiing in Heaven like back when y'all were kids! (I just love that picture of you two.)
Much love and prayers to you and your family during this difficult time.
Love

Best Friend,
It was a great run and more fun than you will ever know!
Growing up I thought everyone had Great Parents.... I didn't know how spoiled I really was with my parents until I hit College!
You taught me a ton and now looking back I even enjoyed the spankings (not then but now)! I still trying to figure out how you made all the time to help me after school and weekends!
I'm glad you are pain free!
I'll take care of mom!
I love you, ACE!

Jane and Family

We are all saddened of your loss, it was such a shock.
I met Buddy in the Navy at Norman, Oklahoma in February 1944, later he was transferred to Jacksonville and I went to Vero Beach. We said our goodbyes at the train station in Jacksonville thinking that we would not meet again, not knowing that we would meet again in tne dead of the night on a base in California. I got on base late at night and turned my orders in at the OD's Office and inquired about a bunk and was told to stick my head in each barracks and holler if there were any empty bunks. The first barrack I came to I hollered into I heard his familiar voice call out " Hensley is that you " I knew I had found my friend again.
It was my pleasure to serve with him in CASU53. He was a Friend a Patriot and a Gentltman.

Untill we met again, Jack

Bud introduced me to Buddy during our college days at OU. My first impression was that Buddy never met a stranger, and was genuinely glad to meet one of Bud's teammates. He was a very cool dude and obviously still had that "athlete" bearing and mentality. I could see why Bud has such confidence and likeability. Bud, my prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. I lost my own Mother last week, and certainly hope you celebrate Buddy's life just as I am celebrating my departed Mother. God bless you all.

Robert
