Rita and family,
My heart aches for all of you for I know how painful it is to lose someone you love so very much. Take comfort in the memories you have for they will be very precious to you in the days to come.
Love,
Barbara McEwin

Papa Joe as I liked to call him was an extraordinary man! He was always smiling and happy when I saw him. He will be missed greatly by many! Don't worry Papa Joe, Doug and I will look after your baby girl as we promised! You were a light to many and now you are walking with the light of Heaven! We will SEE YOU AGAIN IN GLORY!
Praise the name of Jesus!!!

When I think of Joe, I think of this poem. He was such a wonderful, loving man. From the day he entered our family he changed all our lives for the better. He will be missed. Love ya Joe!

Not How Did He Die, But How Did He Live?

Not how did he die, but how did he live?
Not what did he gain, but what did he give?
These are the units to measure the worth
of a man as a man, regardless of birth.

Not, what was his church, nor what was his creed?
But had he befriended those really in need?
Was he ever ready, with word of good cheer,
to bring back a smile, to banish a tear?

Not what did the sketch in the newspaper say,
but how many were sorry when he passed away.
