My Grandmother, let me say that this woman was the most wonderful, thoughtful, caring, loving, unselfish woman ever. I have so so many wonderful memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I am so thankful that my children were blessed to have such an amazing great-grandmother. I can just hear her voice telling me, "don't cry for me im rejoycing with the lord, I may not be there physically, but I am watching over every single one of you". There are so many memories that will be cherished forever for me, all I can say is that Jesus has the best angel ever. I love you so much Grandmother, I can't even put into words how much I will miss you. I love you so much and want to thank you for all you have ever done for me and my family! Love, Nat

"What'cha doin doll'n?", Grandmother's trademark greeting as she hugged me so tight that you just knew she was trying to make up for all those hugs lost when we were apart. But even with distance between us, she would always welcome my phone call despite if she was preoccupied in that moment. Grandmother dropped everything else if any of her family or friends came calling and made them feel as though the spot light shined down on them alone and she was the eager audience. Her capacity to love all those who came into her life, was and still is an example I constantly strive towards. Never an unkind word to say of another person, nor an inability to forgive. Grandmother, with all her whit; life experiences, and unyielding love, always managed to give me advice or tell me when I was in the wrong, without it ever coming across as a lecture or a typical 'talking to' that I was accustom to hearing from my parents. She was the first person I dialed in moments of joy, melancholy, worry or even if I was in a dilemma and in need of advice. But Grandmother seemed to know before I did, that more than not, I just need someone to listen to me say things aloud and guide my thoughts in the right direction. - I'll miss talking to her so much... Grandmother left behind a truly beautiful legacy of 'strength in family unity and harmony', for all of us to follow and teach to the coming generations of her family tree. Though my children did not get the chance to build memories with her for themselves, I'm determined for my memories to be a tether to their cherished Grandmama, just as she was my tether to all of the family when I was away. ... Grandmother, there is no replacing you. Love you so much xoxoxo

Words alone cannot express the sorrow in our hearts for each one of you. We loved Aunt Mousie with all our hearts, and know there is a joyful reunion in Heaven today. Aunt Mousie was always there for me and I will always hold her words of wisdom close to my heart as well as all the memories over the years. We love each and every one of you and pray you will find peace and comfort in the days ahead. Our Love, Ken & Linda

Grandmother, you are so special to me. You have helped me become the person that I am today. I have so many memories of us together. I loved visiting you in High Island and helping you work in your office. You taught me how to sew and you made me and my dolls matching outfits. I loved helping you in the garden and then helping with dinner. And as I got older I loved talking to you about anything and knowing you would give me great advice and you were always ready to listen to anything I had to say. I loved every moment we spent together. You mean the world to me and I will always remember the times we shared and I will hold them close to my heart forever. You are an incredible person who always looked at life in a positive way and you are so full of love. That is what I will keep with me, your love. I know you are here looking over me and our family and that brings me comfort. Grandmother, I can not say in words how much I love you and how much you mean to me.

I don't really have the words to tell you all how much we loved Aunt Mousie or how much we'll miss her. I regret that it's been so long since we saw her, but it was always a wonderful treat to receive one of her e-mails and I'm grateful that she kept in touch with us that way. I'm also glad I have lots of great memories of Aunt Mousie to make me smile and I know y'all do too. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Denby/Smith family, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I only met Mary a couple of times, and of those times what I remember most about her was her smile & kindness. Keeping the family in prayer for comfort and peace during this time of sorrow.
