Patricia was one of the most beautiful people I have ever known in body, mind and spirit.. It was a natural beautiful. I can still remember what a beautiful bride she was. What beautiful posture. Thank you for posting some of her wonderful art. I am very sorry for your loss. May God surround you with his gentle comfort.

What a beautiful person she was. I remember her so well, sitting next to her in choir. Her works of art are absolutely breathtaking.

Mr. Cargill and family -- I just learned of Mrs. Cargill's passing today and, along with my family, I send my deepest condolences to all of the Cargills and special thanks from all of us for all of the sweet times we had with Patty over the past few years when we would stop in to visit and enjoy your magical home and hospitality for a bit (with hot tea and cookies from scratch!) when we were on road trips. It was lovely to sit in your kitchen or next to Patty's bed with my children and husband and to share time with her and you, David. I also have special memories of growing up next door to your family, and of my mom and Patty chatting in the yard while the Brown kids played with Ida Katherine and Chancel. I also remember being a bit jealous when Patty did a lovely portrait of my best friend and neighbor, Mary. She was such a talented artist and it is wonderful that her work lives on in the community. God bless you and your family. Jeanette (Brown) and Brian, Caitlyn, Rebecca, Jessamyn, Meredith and Larkin Howe

I have used my middle name because as we spoke on the phone these past years, Patty called me by both names so it is appropriate that I use it here. We were three sisters; Patty, me, and Caroll who grew up in Detroit, Michigan when it was a wonderfully enlightened city just across the river from Windsor, Ontario. Our parents had immigrated from Canada and we visited often. Epiphany Lutheran Church was our Christian home and she sang in the choir and was active in service and participation. The excellent public schools and nationally recognized Cass Technical High Scbool were our educational base and Patty showed an obvious talent and interest in art in elementary school. Pratt Institute, in New York City, was her college choice and where she not only had well known art instructors, but met David Cargill who swept her off her feet. They had two beautiful daughters, IdaKatherine and Chancel, and five outstanding grandchildren. Patty and David did many church and community projects as well as teach others how to develop their talents. Her faith sustained her these last years along with David's loving care and her desire to be with those she loved as long as possible. We thank the Lord for giving her to us .

Dear David, I want you and your family to know that you have been and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers as you adjust to Patty's "graduation" - we were in Monday Bible study together when I lived in Beaumont. She was such an inspiration to us all with her gentle and deep spiritual insight. She live the Word as well used her God given talents to enrich other lives during her journey. Both of you have a special place in my heart. The good news is that we will share eternity - may God continue to be with each of you, filling you with His love, comfort and peace all the day ahead - blessings to each, elvy

Patti had smile and conviction when she said "He is risen" on Easter morning that I will never forget. She was a fine lady.

My grandmother, Patty Cargill, was an amazing women who I was just beginning to get to know. I truly admired her ability to laugh at herself, while still remaining firm when she had something she wanted to say. We shared the same MBTI type which spoke to so many of our important similarities, though she was more salty and reading than I'll ever be. I miss you so much and I'll love you forever, Grandma. *BOOP*

Dear David, I have tears of joy and sadness. Joy, to have known such a beautiful, kind, refined, spiritual, grace-filled soul...who greeted me with "God is good!" Sad, to have lost this person in my life. You are in my prayers. I saw how tenderly you treated Patty. What a wonderful person you are. Much love, Mary

Patty was a strong personality who knew what she was about and it was a joy to interact with her because it was always very clear, intellectually and emotionally her position. Patty enveloped this style in a pleasant and loving manner that made one feel the better, for no matter the outcome, one came away with the feeling of having had a quality experience.
