I have a great memory about "Sugar".We lived next door to Sugar and his wife. My son, Jeremy Tinsley, was 6 yrs. old at the time and loved to go outside and visit with Sugar. Jeremy had a pair of handcuffs and went out to talk to Sugar. About 15 minutes went by and I heard Sugar hollering for me to come outside. I got out there and Jeremy had handcuffed Sugar to his lawn chair. His facial expression was priceless. He said, "Jeremy has handcuffed me to my chair and threw the keys in the grass. I can't find the keys or get loose. Would you please help me"? They were wonderful neighbors. Our prayers go out to all of Sugar's family. Kathy(Tinsley)Gray & Jeremy Tinsley

I met Charles only once, and what a great guy he was! We decided we must be related because my great-grandfather was a Wilburn and a great-uncle was an English (Shelby County). I'm sure Charles was a fine man, and my sincere condolences go out to the family in this time of sorrow.

My deepest sympathy. Sugar was indeed the kindest man, always so thoughtful of others. His smile and laugh will be missed.

Sugar you have been a HUGE part of my life for the past 38 years. You were a wonderful "dad" to me. I have always, admired you, looked up to you, & loved you. You were always there for me when I needed you. You were a very good role model for me and I learned so many things from you. I will never forget you and will always treasure our good memories. May you rest in peace. Love, Tanya

My sincere condolences to the family of Mr. English. I had the pleasure of waiting on him for 7 years when I worked at Market Basket in Nederland. He'd also worked with my dad for many years at the plant and would always ask after him when he came into the store.
He was a wonderful man and will be missed.
