Dear Stanley, I just came across this notice today, and am so sorry to hear of your loss. Your mother was a very dear friend of mine, singing in the choir at St Marks, and going to small prayer groups together. She was a dear sweet and beautiful person, and she was my daughter's God-mother. I lost track of her many years ago. My last name was Dillon then, and you were one of the children in my car-pool to All Saints school in Beaumont. I have many childhood photos of you. It must comfort you to know that your mother had such a loving influence on so many people. I'm sure she is singing with all the Heavenly host now. Sincerely, Diane Berner

To the family of Maribel, Please except my heartfelt sympathy on the passing of Maribel. What a special/beautiful lady she was! I enjoyed Maribel during activities at the Arboretum. She shined her brightest during the weekly church services where she would sing her heart out! One thing Alzheimers did not take was her memory of music! What a beautiful voice! Maribel was so missed when she moved away from the Arboretum. Stan, I lost touch with you but please know... the staff, visitors and other family members loved your mom!! I am so blessed to have known her. God Bless you and your family. So sorry I did not attend the services... I am just finding out. In my prayers, Rikki Jo

Stan, I'm so very sorry to hear about your mothers passing. She was so very sweet to me when we were growing up! She took me with her all the time and I have fond memories of going with her to clean Craig's beauty shop where she would brush my hair endlessly. I loved our time together too! Choir practice with Tom Oliphant at St. Marks and races around the Big Oak trees in the front of the church! My mom is here in Little Rock with me and she would want me to send you her condolences too. I just came across this page looking for someone else and I wanted you to know I really loved your mom. Sincerely, Kim Lomax Graves

Maribel Helen was my favorite aunt. We enjoyed the same talents - music, art, fashion. I remember the mural she painted in the entry of their home...so beautiful. She, herself, was beautiful and brought smiling cheerfulness into the room with her. I felt she was a Southern "belle". While my memories are from many years ago, I hope you remember her this way as well. Blessings and prayers to all of you. Love, Patricia

Although I did not know Maribel when I was a Melody Maid; I did get to know her at the many reunions we both attended. She was a lovely lady and I thoroughly enjoyed our visits. She will be missed. My sincerest condolences to her family.
