Both Betty's parents and mine were lifelong friends, so it was only natural that Betty & I grew up together (and Wes, you were the younger little brother at that time). Betty and I attended the same schools and church, and had lots of sleepovers at each other's house. I can still remember Lucille and my mom so often sitting at the kitchen table visiting and drinking coffee while Betty and I played outside. And Lucille made the BEST pot of homemade potato soup! And when my Mom (Mrs. Scott) was no longer able to get out and about, Lucille was a frequent visitor. She would take Mom shopping or bring her a snack or cut and perm her hair, or just sit and visit - and all of this was so much appreciated by my Mom and us, too. So Betty and Wes, take pride in knowing your Mother was loved and appreciated by so many in her life. She was a quiet soft spoken woman with a heart of gold. I've thought about her often. She will be missed.

Betty,
So sorry for your loss. Regardless of her condition in later years we are never ready to let them go. God bless you and your family and give you peace.
