We consider it an honor that we were chosen to care for Mrs. Bishop at Kountze Nursing Center. She was a part of our family and will be missed dearly. We would also like to thank her son, Jim Bishop for his kindness to our staff, and for sharing his Mom with us.

Aunt Hazel was a very special lady to me and my family. We have so many great memories of special times we had together. She would come to Jasper to visit and we would take a trip to Dairy Queen for ice cream or just riding around looking at old places. She loved being around family and was so proud of Jimmy, Debbie and Jared. She is will be greatly missed but I know she is much better off and happy to join her family that has gone on before her. Love yall

Mrs. Bishop was a great woman I had the privilege of taking care of her at Kountze Nursing Center. She was stubborn when she wanted to be but a kind loving woman. She enjoyed her daily visits from her son "Jimmy". There were days when she ask is Jim here or what time he will be here...and our response be after 5 p.m. She would smile and say o.k. We will miss her.. I would like to thank Mr. Bishop for letting us take care of his one and only mom. Thanks. May God bless you and your family

I knew Hazel through my mother-in-law, Mittie. They became friends when they lived in the Baten Arms Apts. for many years. I am thankful for the many conversations they had daily. They were five months apart in age so they had a lot in common. They both had one grandchild that they were very proud of. They went places together like good friends do. They didn't see each other for a few years and in 2010, they once again were living in the same place. Thank you God for this sweet friendship.
