Josh was such a fine, wonderful, and spiritual man. His life was truly a success. And even though I did not see him too often as his neighbor, I always knew that he and Billie were there and when I did see him, I loved his wonderful smile. He will be missed, but now he is in his eternal home. His journey on this earth is finished and he is finally with his beloved Savior. Rest in peace, dear Josh. Sincerely, Nedra & Milton Magee

Mr. Cherry was a man greater than most because he had to put up with me as a small child in his Sunday School class and I cherish Mrs. Cherry and him for that.
Loving the Lord and loving his children was the example he displayed. A man that will be greatly missed but that left a legacy to be remembered. We should celebrate because today Mr. Cherry experiences true life! I'm praying for you Mrs. Cherry.

Heaven is receiving a true Angel. There isn't a finer gentlemen than James Josh Cherry. He always met you with a smile and a hug. He always was truly interested in what was going on in your life and he never met a stranger. Josh loved North End Baptist and the folks that called North End their home. I have known the Cherry Family since I was 3 years old. We weren't just neighbors, we were part of each other's families. We were ALL truly blessed to have had such a fine gentlemen in our lives and are better individuals for knowing the Cherry Family. God Speed Josh! You will be missed!

Josh was one of my favorite people. When he was still working in Winnie I would see him at the post office and so enjoy talking with him. Billie and Chip, just remember Heaven is for real and now he is there watching over everyone here. I know there was a great family reunion there Sunday. Love you

Mr. Cherry was always a smiling face every Sunday at NEBC. He took to time to always talk and check in on things with me. An investment that made a lasting impression. Praying for the whole Cherry family.
