My prayers are with all of Ben's family. He was always a great friend at the Port of Port Arthur, and always welcomed with great joy and friendliness. When he retired we at the Port Arthur International Seafarer Center honored him and Big Al with plaques recognizing their constant support of the seafarers' mission.

God bless, and may the Lord welcome you into your eternal reward.

Sad to hear that Ben has passed on. I remember him from Jr. High and BHS "53. I hope he looks up Lefkowitz, Jerry Klein, Robert Hooker, Jack Horkan,Charlie Kolter and Donnie Bean and maybe they can play a few hands of poker..Raymond of course will take the bets! I do remember Ben and his blue suede shoes! Nice guy gone too soon

I grew up in Beaumont, and Ben Goldstein was a friend. He was a fun and exciting person to be around. As I have lived all over the U.S., I lost track of Ben, but have often wondered about him. You don't easily forget people who are part of your youth, and made it such an enjoyable experience. He truly was a good guy. His passing reminds us all of our mortality, because we are of the same era. Thanks for the great memories Ben, and your friendship. May God Bless you in your final journey.

Dearest Ben

Thank you for being such a loyal friend to my father and our family for so many years.

I'm so thankful that you and I got together the night following the day of my father's funeral. Those 3 hours I will always remember and cherish. As you and I both said, we could have stayed up all night talking!

The last words you and I spoke to one another were "zay gezunt," which in Yiddish means stay well, good bye.
