My memories of Ms. Jessie go way back. She sold my parents one of their first houses and as I grew into a young lady she kept a roof over my head in her apartment complexes. She was like a grandmother when I needed her and I knew she would always be there for me if I needed help. I can only hope to live life with such joy and energy as she did. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. She will truly be missed!

I am so blessed to have had Nonie in my life. Thank you for sharing her with me when my family moved to Alabama. Your family made my years of living in Beaumont very special and I am a better person because I knew you and Nonie.
