I saw your Dad's obit in the Houston newspaper and recognized the name from our old neighborhood in South Park. Your Dad was an outstanding American patriot. I passed your family home many times during my growing up years and remember your dad working in his garage and saw the small airplane he was working on. I know you will miss him and I am very sorry for your loss.

Dear Robert: My deepest sympathies go to you and your entire family for the loss of your father. You will meet again when you soar with the angels. I have always been proud to have been one of your professors at Lamar. Later, I had the great honor of meeting your father and getting to visit his garage and the aircraft he was building.

Rickey, I will never forget meeting you. While my daughter Amanda and I were moving into her familys new home (next door to yours) you came to the door with doughnuts and coffee mugs as a welcome to the neighborhood gift. My husband would never have thought of that!!! You were such a wonderful neighbor for my grand kids- Bradley, Emily and Zachary they would love to make you cookies and draw pictures for you. May you soar with the Eagles now and enjoy eternal rest with your loved ones. Ralph and Kim Murdock

It was our great honor to have had the chance to meet and share a little time with such a kind man and AMERICAN HERO! He was so nice to our family. Our children loved to go over to "Mr. Rickey's" and listen to his stories and tell him about their day. He will truley be missed.

We were so sorry to hear about Rickey's passing. Our thoughts are with Mike and their family. They were great neighbors when we lived in Bevel Oaks. We thought about them often after moving away from that area.

Rickey Rouse was a very good friend and co-worker of my father, Lloyd Shell. My father thought the world of Rickey and they shared an uncommon friendship.
Barbara and I knew Rickey and Mike through my father and their son Mickey. They were both uncommon people that we should try to emulate. Our life will be poorer with their passing.
We cannot be at the service, but we will be with the family in our thoughts and prayers.
