Dear Pat,
Elmer and Sam spent many years together with duPont and Sam regarded Elmer so highly. You know we now have one more thing in common, losing our beloved mates to the same disease within a few months of each other. I know your strong faith will hold you in good stead as will your wonderful family. My prayers are with you all as is my love as well. You have been an incredibly strong, loving and exemplary woman, wife and mother . May you be comforted and at peace.
