Julie, my heart goes out to you and your family. I, too, have just lost my Daddy. Your Dad was a special man and will missed very much. I pray that in time you will understand that he is in a good place, and will still be watching over you.

Julie & Family: I am so sorry to read about the passing of your Dad..I had not seen him in a long time when I retired from the courthouse in 2001. How time flys!!! Been a long time since I have seen you...We moved to Georgetown, Texas, north of Austin to the Sun City Retirement Community. We have been here 2 yrs...We have our place for sale and we are going to move to Nacogdoches, Texas..It will be closer to Silsbee where our granddaughters and daughter live. We are six hours from Silsbee where we live now. My name is Sandra Vaughan Merrifield, and I am writing this on behalf of my 98 year old father, Charles "Rex" Vaughan, who worked with Odell Coplen for many years at Gulf States Utilities Company in Port Arthur. My Dad counted "Coplen," as he called him, among his dearest friends, and was saddened to hear of his passing. We both send all members of his family our deepest condolences. Rest in peace, "Coplen."

I worked with "Cope" several years in the Silsbee-Kountze area. A fine man & gentle soul & very good friend. God bless his family during this difficult time. He will be missed.
