Dear Donald and Doug,
With our sympathy, we lift up your hearts to the Lord for
comfort and strength. Appears you followed your father's attitude....always giving, always caring, always loving and
today, always loved.
May the Lord bless you and your loved ones during this sad time, knowing for certain that your Dad resides with His
Creator, Father and Friend forever.
Yours sincerely,
Charles and Rosemary Doolin

To the family, we share in your loss and join you spiritually in your grieving. May God grant you comfort in the days ahead.
The truest memorial we can maintain for David, is to live our lives as he lived his - in Giving, Loving and Caring.

I served with David Hearn in the Texas National Guard, 111th Engineering Battion Company "C" for years, and we worked at Magnolia Oil, before he started his own Business. I skipped the "Delta Queen" vessel he owned once on a Red Snapper Fishing trip out of Sabine Pass. We ran out of fuel coming home in sight of the SW Sea Bouy, that was marked "No. 1" sea bouy. The Coast Guard spent the whole night searching for us around the "No. 1" Channel Bouy and talking us on the radio. David couldn't believe it but he made the best of it,thank goodness.

Years later, my daughter (Bonnie Jo Vaughan)became a Chemical Engineer and David gave a job designing Heat Exexchanger's.

Thanks, for being my Friend David. I am going on 78 now, and hope to see you again when its my turn. You don't know it, but I have bragged on you, and used you for an example to others, all my life, and will for the rest of my life. Enjoy your trip to heaven.

Your Ole friend, Bobby Vaughan

P.S. By the way, our old Battion, 111th Engineering, Company "C" is listed on the Memmorial in Port Arthur at the foot of the Rainbo Bridge with all our names on it including Cecil P. Fleming our Master Sergant. I found it by accident. I had no idea it was there.

To the Hearn family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Hearn was a fine man and was always the very first patient early in the morning at Dr. Jepson's office. He was alway's a joy. A very caring man.
I know he will be missed by everyone.

I only started working at Metalforms in the past year, but one thing was clear from the get-go, and that was Mr. Hearn was much respected and so loved.

Working with his grandson, Donald, I got a glimpse of what a great man he was. My heart goes out to the family, especially Dave, Daniel and Donald, Jr, and I pray they can have peace during this trying time.

I consider myself blessed to be a part of the Metalforms family, and look forward to many years to come.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Mr. Hearn many years ago when he opened the Steamboat Museum and the many banquet facilities there. He was a very intelligent and dedicated man and I learned alot from him in his tedious nature. My prayers and thoughts are with you all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. We will miss Mr. Hearn at Country Village but all we have to do is look around and see his touch and the great memories he left behind . . .Cypress Lake, the sunflowers and roses, the cats that found a home here, the birds that visit, and so much more. He will be greatly missed but his memory will always be alive here at Country Village.

I am so saddened to hear of David's passing. I had the pleasure of working with David in the planning of the wonderful Navy Days events.

Mr. Hearn will be missed by so many. I was reminiscing about the time I spent working at Metalforms just recently, and what I remembered is what a "family" the people are there. I was treated very kindly by Mr. Hearn from the day I started to work there and felt we were of one mind when it came to caring for the kitties! He was one of a kind! The family has my sincere condolences. I am a phone call away if there is anything I can do.
