Jared Douglas Rogers

To the Rogers Family,

Rosemary and I have been truely shocked and rocked to our core by the news. Our thoughts and deepest prayers are with you and Jared at this most difficult time. It goes without saying that we cannot imagine....

We remember Jared as a wonderful young man who was always pleasant, good to be around, with a ready smile and can do attitude. He was a great friend to our children in those formative years in Victoria, one of those kids you want your kids to have as a friend, be around, spend time with. It was a pure pleasure to watch them all become such wonderful young adults. We knew Jared more deeply through our children, often hearing stories of him flying and just what a great person he was. There is no doubt his absense will leave a void in all of us.

I am sad you are gone but I am blessed to have known you. Even though I didn't know you well.... you touched my life with your fun loving nature. You will truly be missed and cherished by all. You and your family&friends will be in my prayers. God bless you.

Jared, I was just made aware of your passing by another flying buddy and instructor, Tim Hoffman. You were one of many folks at KUSA that inspired my return to aviation in such a positive light. You young folk made flying and learning the rules of aviation so much easier. I'll remember the trips to Brenham, TX and so many other late evening/night flights into Houston & Galveston area. From all I've been reading, hundreds of other folks are affected similarly. I returned to Alaska with my wife and children more than a year ago, but KUSA was Home away from Home while assigned to Coast Guard MSU Port Arthur, TX. You helped me achieve lifelong dream of becoming a Private Pilot. God Speed my young friend and mentor. ~ Chief ~ David B. Hydock.

I never met you but through your Mom I know you were an amazing young man and your Mom is so very proud of you. There are no words that can make the sadness and pain better for your family. Prayers and Faith in God and knowing they have a wonderful, amazing angle watching over them until you all meet again in Heaven will get them through this trying time. Praying for all your Family and Friends.

You have touched many hearts in your life brought many people laughter and love. One of the sweetest,most Kind,Fun Loving,Best people I know.Thanks for always makin me laugh. ^.^ I Love you very much. Even though we never met Jared, I know you had to a great young man full love and fun just like your mom. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I truly missed out on getting to meet you.

The time that we had together while short was some of the most life changing. You are such a caring and amazing man. Your spirit for living life to the fullest is truly remarkable. I know that you are flying high above the clouds where you always loved to be. I'm so sorry for you and your family at this time. You all are in my prayers.
