Words can't even descibe the true beauty of this amazing angel we have all lost. Carrie will always be a shinning light to all of us who were lucky enough to call her friend. Prayers go out to her whole family especially John and the kids whom were the lights of her life......God has an amazing angel with him now....

I've known Carrie since 1st grade at Sallie Curtis. We were in Campfire girls together. She always had a smile and made you feel special. You will be missed dearly! Your family is in my prayers. Shine bright!

To the family of Carrie...what a loss for so many people that Carrie touched in their life.. I did not know Carrie but my daughter Stephanie Shelton, was in Pi Beta Phi Sorority at UT with her. She told me that Carrie was one of the sweetest, most giving, happy people with a smile always..that she has ever had the pleasure of knowing in her life..I lift up my prayers for her, her parents, her husband, her sweet little children and the rest of her family and friends for this tragic loss in their life..my peace be with you all..

The true test of a person's character is their willingness to reach out and lend a hand to others, even in the midst of their own personal challenges. This is exactly who Carrie was. She was so many things to so many people; she was a tireless advocate for those suffering with this terrible disease. She was a comforting shoulder to lean on for those in need of reassurance and understanding. Carrie was more than an incredible human being, she was a hero in every sense. She stood strong in the face of adversity and never flinched, even as her trials grew harder.
Carrie will be terribly missed. She touched so many lives while she was with us. Her legacy will live on in those who remain to carry out the work she was devoted to, educating women about breast cancer and providing care and support for those who face this daunting battle. Everything that she stood for will be a guiding light in the days, weeks and years to come.

Please know you are in our prayers that the Lord will provide much needed comfort and grace and immeasurable peace.

What a shocker!!! Carrie, we met back in the late 70's in Wildwood. I couldn't wait for Fridays to come around to see if you were coming up for the weekend. Couldn't call back then, it was long distance and I wouldn't be able to hide the bill when it came in..My friend you fought a long and hard battle, and you will never have to fight again. Your in the best place possible. And I hope we meet again someday. I will cherrish the memories, and I would like to thank you for letting me be your friend. You will be deeply missed by many. Not a day that goes by, I want be thinking about you and your smile. May you RIP my dearest friend..

Carie touched the lifes of everyone she met. She will be missed by all and will always hold a spot in everyone' heart. Miss ya girl until we meet again!

I am so sorry for your loss. Carrie was an amazing lady. I met her recently and loved her immediately. She was and will continue to be an inspiration to so many.

I'm so very sorry for your aching hearts. I went to school with Carrie but was actually in Amy's grade. I don't think I've ever seen either of them without a smile on their face. My sister kept in touch with Carrie often and updated me on her progress. What an impact she made on so many people before and also during her battle. We all should strive to be like her. I will continue to pray for you (her family) for healing and comfort. My heart is very sad. Love always, Caren
