I'll always remember the my phone conversation with Carrie just after Lauren was born. She was so excited to have a baby daughter, to be a mom. It was probably our longest conversation and of course, as usual Carrie did most of the talking.

With fondest memories, Uncle "P"

Jonathan, Lauren, Will, Scott, Amy, Mr.&Mrs. Budd,

It's hard to put into words what Carrie means to me. She was the bright light that touched every person she encountered. I have spent the last several days going down memory lane from Sallie Curtis, Marshall MS to West Brook High. So many of my memories that make me smile about my childhood included Carrie. From eating the "Zoo" at one of my birthday parties at Farrells in elementary school to cracking up with her in Madame Steven's French class in High School. Carrie was definately one of those people who helped shape my childhood. She was one of those friends that no matter how much time and distance was between us, when we saw each other again it was like time had stood still and we'd pick up where we left off. She will continue to live in my heart and bring a smile to my face. Carrie, thank you for your friendship, love and wicked sense of humor! Love to you all!

Carrie was a lovely young girl who grew to be a valiant woman. From her special sparkle as a teen in "Camelot" to our last meeting by chance, she lit the room with her smile and her genuine zest for life. Gone too soon. Remembered with affection and deepest sympathy for her family's loss by her friend,

Carrie and I were preschool friends, at St. Andrews' Presbyterian Church. During elem. school years, we shared many fun times at church in Sunday School, VBS, and choir. And when my family moved back to Beaumont in 1982, she hadn't changed a bit-still funny, always witty, and vivacious! She showed me much kindness. God created a special person in Carrie, and her courage and zest for life inspire me!

I was so shocked to hear the news about my good friend Carrie. Even though we were friends in high school we hooked up on line and became great friends. At the same time she found out about her cancer I was homebound with hip replacement infections. We became such great supporters of each other on good days and bad ones. I feel as I have lost my soul sister. She is such a sweet pure angel I know they welcomed her with open arms. RIP sweety, till we meet you again.....

Carrie will be truly missed by so many people. We knew each other through our mothers only yet whenever I was around her I felt like we were old friends. She handled her illness with grace and the most positive attitude I have ever seen. A true inspiration to anyone who was lucky to be around her. We got to reconnect when she and her precious family moved to Nacogdoches and my family got to meet her and felt they had known her for years. Rest now Carrie and make people laugh in Heaven.

I like to believe that when we lose someone close to us they still live through us and give us strength. The time we have spent with those we've lost makes them part of us.
Carrie(CareBear) will be missed by many and loved by many. May God Bless her and receive her into his Kingdom.
