I do not know how or why I have survived 365 days without you. I love you more today than ever. You are my soul mate, more than the better half of me. I love you so much that there are no words to express the emptiness deep into the depths of my soul. I love you, Amos.

My favorite memory of Amos was the Christmas we lived across the street from ya'll in Deer Park, and Amos played Santa to the neighbors, coming into the house, softly saying " Ho ho ho" and putting presents under the tree. The girls were so excited to spy on Santa, Allison wouldn't even raise her head to look!! I will always remember him that way.

Laurie, Amos, Samuel, and Kelly: So many people leave this earth leaving behind so many "If only I had.......". Your husband and father loved life and loved his family. He was a hard worker, a great athlete, a loving husband and father, and a good brother and friend. But I think what I remember about Amos was simply that he was a good man, easy to talk to, and fun to be around.

Know that you are all in my prayers.

I'm miss my Pike Brother greatly. He and I were pledge brothers in Pi Kappa Alpha at Lamar in 1968 and shared an apartment in Houston for several years after we left college. I'm sad we never got the chance to get back together but Amos was a great friend. I'm truly sorry about his passing.
