D'anne, your mother and father were very close and good friends of my parents. We loved them both. Your mother was the best cook in E. Tx., I didn't know you dad very well, but we know you had two great parents. We would like to express our deepest sympathy to you and your family at this time.

As a college student in Longview in the early 80's I did yard work for Mr & Mrs DeMoss. Mrs DeMoss was an awesome cook and stuffed me like a thanksgiving bird every visit. I remember one time while doing yard work I found a pocket knife buried in the yard and turned it over to Mr DeMoss. He quickly returned it to me and said I could have it. Another time I was trimming hedges and cut through the electric cord. Curtis didn't get mad he just repaired the cord and sent me back to work. Very nice southern couple who welcomed others to their home.

Joe and I want to let you know how sorry we are about your faather. We pray that you and your family find comfort in the happy times you all shared. He lived a long life and sounds fruitful as well so well blessed he will be. God bless you and may he rest if Jesus' arms. Love Nikki and Joe Ramey

Our prayers are with you and we will be at Rosewood on Monday. There will never be another CURTIS.... he was one of a kind, and like a Dad to me! You were so blessed to have him in your life for all these many years!
