I've never met your son...just through your messages on FB "ArmyMoms". Your son is a hero and will never be forgotten. I pray your family finds peace during this difficult time! As the parent of an active duty soldier my heart aches for your family. Thank you PFC David Drake for your service and sacrifice for the country you loved and obviously believed in deeply! Tommye you and your family are in my prayers. I never got to meet David personally but kept up through your Facebook pictures. I am here if you need anything especially to talk. It may be later when everything calms down and the numbness wears off but just know we are here for you. You are now a member of the

May God give you peace and comfort during this time. I taught David at Lumberton High School. He had a wonderful heart, and I always noticed how he thought of others before himself. I heard from him just a few weeks ago on Facebook, and he was so proud to be serving his country along with his brother. It is always terrible to lose someone so young. May you always remember his special smile and his brave, caring heart. David will be missed.

Although I did not know PFC David Drake personally, I want you to know he was one of mine also.. I want to say thank you for raising such a heroic, and selfless son.. He gave his life for our freedom.. You are forever a Hero David and you will never be forgotten.. To the family of this hero I send my thoughts and prayers.
