Marco Anthony Marchetti

While surfing the Internet today I decided to look up my former supervisor and friend, Tony Marchetti, whom I worked for as an employee of the USDA at the Texas A&M Rice Research Center at Beaumont, TX. I was shocked to learn of Tony's passing. It's been more than a year since he left, and now that I've discovered this bad news I mourn alone. THIS WAS ONE KIND FELLA!!!.

Our regrets to the Family on the passing of a central member of your clan and to the extended brotherhood of Tau Phi Delta. We have enjoyed his mild mannered humor, his love of life, and his devotion to Family and friends. He was a central member to our fraternity and a true friend over these 50 some years. Go in peace, Good Friend.

Tony, my classmate and brother from 58 years ago - tho' we did not see you often, we did think of you often, with great fondness. Whatever you did, you gave it your best shot! My wife, Nancy, only met you about 6 years ago, but she is most enthusiastic about you and your family members whom she met at The Farm several times. And those were GOOD times, long to be remembered! Many thanks to you and your family for all the trouble and generosity you lavished upon us there. May our Good Lord continue to bless you and your family!

Lucy and I send out thoughts and prayers for Nancy and the extended family that Toni created with his warm hospitable personality and generosity to his friends, including those from the many years ago when we were classmates at Penn State. He will indeed be missed.

"Keep The Whole World Singing" directed by Toni to close Harmony Exporters' rehearsals was always heartfelt and very emotional. I'll cherish recalling his having directed our "closer" the last time, just a few weeks ago. Making eye contact with Toni as he so competently wrapped up rehearsals was so inspiring! We look forward to his directing us in The Eternal Chorus!

Just this morning I read of Toni's passing with great sorrow for your loss. Your beautiful, talented daughters - Jamie, Ashley and Katie - and the self-assured women they grew to be stand as testaments to the love and nurturing provided by Toni and you. Toni was so very good to Mama Dot and she thought the absolute world of Him. You are all in my prayers.
