I have been saddened at Mrs. Polks sudden illness and passing. I have known Mrs. & Mr. Polk for several years since my son Trae was a personnel assisstant to Tommy and then to Mrs. Polk. She was always a delightful person. Our family will miss her.

I will keep the family in my prayers. Jo Ann loved her children and grandchildren very much. When asked about her family, her eyes would light up and she always told me how they were doing. Tommy worked for PaineWebber and UBS for many years and Jo Ann provided him the support and family life he needed. Jo Ann will be missed.

We are saddened to hear of Mrs. Polk's sudden passing. She always had a truly generous, warm, and kind human spirit. Also, we will miss seeing her at the symphony, which we know she loved.

In the early 80s I was working in real estate and helping her to find a house for Ross. She sent my boss a very nice letter about me and she made me feel real good. I still have this letter today..she was a very special lady.

JoAnn was a wonderful neighbor and friend. We have missed her greatly since she moved from Thomas Road. She was a generous and gracious hostess, and her party guests were always assured a fun and interesting evening with guests who were equally interesting. Her devotion and generosity to the arts will be greatly missed by our community. No doubt God has welcomed her with open arms to His Heavenly Kingdom. Nell & Terry Morris

I will miss Jo Ann. I worked with her on the Sister City commission and the Art Museum, saw her great contributions to Rotary and the Symphony. She was a great lady in this community.

Jo Ann was an elegant lady who had a gift for making others feel comfortable and appreciated. She and Tommy were very special people whose home was always a welcoming and nurturing place. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always able to find the positive side of every experience. In a world sometimes devoid of grace and beauty, she was a shining example of what a wife and mother could be. She was my friend. I was lucky to know her.

Ms. Polk will be missed. She was a great customer of ours for 20+ years and was always a sweet lady. May she rest in peace and prayers for the friends and family.
