My deepest condolences to the O'Brien family. Mr. O'Brien, a fellow substitute teacher at West Brook High School, was a very humble man and a wonderful inspiration to all. May you find peace in knowing that God's loving arms are wrapped around Mr. O'Brien and His eternal light will always shine upon him. Peace to you all and may God bless you.

Mr. O'Brien was a great man. From his smile to his funny stories. He knew how to keep a group of students entertained. I remember times when we knew we were going to have a substitute teacher we would cross our fingers and pray that it was Mr. O'Brien. He used to do the little snap thing with his finger that I still do today. It's unfortunate to see him go but I know he is in a better place. May you rest in peace Mr. O'Brien.

Thanks for everything. I was really blessed to have met you. Once I realized what it was you wrote on the board, I realized why everyone always felt blessed and comforted. Thank you :)

Mr. O'Brien was a wonderful man and a great substitute. He touched many lives at West Brook, and I will never forget him. From the random hellos in the hallway to seeing that special thing he always wrote on the board in the class room. Even when he was sick he always had high spirits and a smile on his face no matter what.

Jim, you will truly be missed by all the teachers and students at West Brook. You never met a stranger, always treated everyone the same, showed interest in our lives, and you were so kind and encouraging no matter what you were going through. My prayers are with all your family and friends who will need Your strength and comfort in the days ahead.

O'Briens,

I often wonder what my purpose is here on this earth, there is no question what Mr. O'Brien's purpose was.....he was the mold from which all mankind should be made. If we all followed his example the world would be a much better place. Thank you for sharing him with the rest of us....he truly was a blessing to me and every life he touched. If you get a chance please read, "Tuesdays with Morrie" by Mitch Albom. I often told him he was my Morrie.

Love and Peace to you all,
Kristi Fuselier
