Dear Betty, Ricky, Darren, Jimmy, & Carl, We are so sorry to hear about Gerald. He was always kind to us kids when we were growing up. He & Betty helped us out many times. I took Melissa with me to the hospital to see him, & he just smiled so sweetly when I rubbed his hand & told him who we were & we were praying for him. I wanted him to see "the twins" together again. My heart goes out to all the Spivey family. I visited with Mr. Spivey you a week or so ago and I told Darin sent me to see him. He smiled and said, Darin is a good boy. Then he went on to say all my boys are good boys. I'm lifting you all up in prayer that the God of all comfort will make His presence known to you as your mourn this great loss.

Dear Betty Jo and Family when I woke up to the news of Geralds passing I couldnt believe it. Although I know he has been ill for a long time I still couldnt believe it. I was blessed growing up across the street from yall. Sure seems like there was never a dull moment. Gerald was always kind to us kids. I remember sitting at the bar in your kitchen and talking or out on the front porch steps. Of course I am going to show my age by saying those were the good old days. Gerald will always be a wonderful memory for me.
