To Rhonda, Angie, Jo, your husbands and children: I am so very sorry for your loss. Your pain and hurt can be tempered by knowing that Parrain A.J. is no longer hurting and resides now in a better place. He loved you all so very much. I wish I had words to ease your grief but I don't. Just know that each of you are in my thoughts and my prayers.
I send my love to you all...Carla Vincent

A.J. Leger was my godfather; I treasured this relationship with a man I considered bigger-than-life. He had a heart of gold and a sense of humor few could match. His love for family and friends shone above almost all except his love of cooking. His presence will be missed by all who knew and loved him. My heart is broken, but I am glad I have a new guardian angel watching over all of us, especially my Nanny Pat.

I was so saddened to learn of A. J.'s death...He was such a nice man...I did not know him well, but he was always so nice to me and so helpful with the work of Some Other Place. He will truly be missed by so many of us. Please know that you all are in our thoughts and our prayers. May God be with you during this sad time and always. He will be remembered as a gracious and giving man. What a legacy!!! Paula O'Neal

I am so sorry for your loss of your loved one, A.J. I know it was hard to see him sick and even though he is no longer suffering with the cancer, the pain of the loss is no less. He certainly will be missed. Be assured of my prayers and love coming to each of you. If we only knew what it is like in heaven maybe then it would be a little less painful, but I'm not sure. He and Ashley will be watching over you!

What a great loss to this community. A.J. was one of the most giving people I have known. I will never forget the late night breakfasts at the beach cabin when all the referee's were studying for their annual exams. May God be with his family at this time.
