Going to miss the visits of him stopping by after he got off work. It wasn't that often but the visits were memories I will never forget. The memories with my kids he always brought up during his visit. You never knew when you went places that he would be there. He sometimes sat quietly in the back if you didn't know he was there because he didn't want to impose. I have known Rocco since I was in grade school and I have been out of school 39 years. I guess I've know him at least 46 years. He had the same nature back then that he had the day he died. May you rest in peace. Will see you again some day. Love The Grady Holst Family

On behalf of the Jason's deli family, we want to extend our moment of sympathy to you and your family. Rocco was a very loved man at the 'deli'. He would come in everyday to eat. Always had a kind spirit. It saddens our heart to find out of this news. We pray for the strength of your family and that you know that he is now in a better place.

Rocco was a regular at Jason's Deli GTW. He had a special dish named after him that only the staff new how to make. Rocco just had to walk in the door and a ticket was placed with just the name Rocco on it. He was loved by everyone. Each year we had the usual Aggie / Longhorn bet. If the longhorns lost - which was rare - I would have to wear an Aggie shirt. Being the devoted Longhorn fan, you can only imagine how hard it was to buy the shirt, much less wear one. One year, the unthinkable happened, I had to wear that ugly shirt! Rocco was there to collect! We shared a lot of laughs over the years. He was a very thoughtful man. I changed deli locations and did not get to see him as often as I would have liked these past few years. However, when we did see each other, we did not miss a beat. You could count on seeing him at the deli or Pine Tree Lodge - 2 of his favorite hangouts. Rocco will be missed by many and he is a true friend. My Deepest Sympathy goes out to all of his family and friends. He will always be a member of the Jason's Deli family! Love ya Rocco!

I was the GM of the Jason's Deli in College Station for many years, and now the DM for the Beaumont area. We will miss Rocco greatly.

Rocco was always around when we were growing up! We would hear the rumble of his motorcycle and run outside to say hello (always careful not to ask "why did you come over?" ;) Many evenings were spent outside chatting with him, and he always gave us words of wisdom of not getting in with the wrong crowds and avoiding peer pressure. Come dinner time you could pretty much always find him at Pine Tree Lodge! Rocco will be dearly missed. Rest in Peace.

I am saddened by the loss of your loved one. I worked with Rocco for many years at Gold Crest, and I'm sure he will be dearly missed by his coworkers. I'm glad I was able to see and talk to him recently at no place other than his favorite Jason's Deli. May he rest in peace.

Rocco has always been a part of our family. He never said much but as a kid I remember he was always sure to give us a hard time. He wouldn't have been Rocco any other way. He always had a new 'tu', Aggie or blonde joke to tell! I dreamed that when I grew up I'd have a spiral staircase just like his. I always liked playing in his & Peggy's yard because they had "strawberry grass." As an adult I saw him often at...of course...Jason's Deli!!! :-) I enjoyed our short lunch visits and I'll always think of him when I'm there. He'll be greatly missed.
