Dear Mona,
I am so sorry about the loss of your son. I can imagine how much he meant to you, as my children mean so much to me. Though it has been years since we last spent much time together, I will always remember how we laughed and played as children, never dreaming we would ever be this age and having to go through the sadness of times like this. I hope to see you soon.
Love, Dick

To Jan, Katherine, Patrick, Mrs. Mona and Mary,
When I received the news Tuesday morning that Britt had passed away, my heart started crying and my mind started racing; thinking about how our lives had been changed by knowing him.
He was there in good times and bad times. In January 1980, he was the one who came and woke me to tell me that my brother had been killed in a car wreck. We squirrel hunted in East Texas with some of the best dogs money could buy. We hunted deer and quail on one of the best ranches in South Texas, as well as hunting white wing dove numerous times in Mexico. The biggest fish and the most fish I ever caught was with him. We went on the best vacation ever with our wives, staying in Arthur Temple's villa in Acapulco, Mexico.
Thursday night at my cabin on Village Creek, J. Q, Vanderburg, Billy Fontaine, Jerry Fontaine, Scott Clark and myself, Joe Clark had a wake for our friend. We grilled the finest steaks with all the trimmings. As our glassed were filled and emptied, we remembered our friend. We laughed and we cried. At midnight, five shot glasses were filled with the best blended whiskey, a farewell toast was given to our friend and the glasses were then broken in the fire pit never to raised again.
Britt may be gone but he will always live in our hearts and memories. He has just gone on ahead to scout a path for us to follow.
Your friend,
Joe Clark

Dear Jan, Catherine and Patrick, Mona and Mary:
We are thinking of you at this sad time and keeping you all in our hearts and prayers. Britt was a steadfast, trustworthy, and helpful family member. We could always seek his consult in time of need, and he never hesitated to provide advice and assistance. He was also a highly accomplished and dedicated public servant who will be greatly missed.
With Love and Condolences,
Amy, Miguel, Mateo & Sabine Molina

Mrs. Mona, Jan & Catherine & Family, I was a graduate in good ole SHS' 65. Was privlidged to know "BRITT" all of my life. We played when we were kids, my parents being good friends with the PLUNKS, went to school together, some same classes, [ he used to steel my seat] and graduated side by side. He was a sucessful man in life, family and friends. He will be greatly missed, especially by the people he's helped and could of helped. God bless ya and give you peace.
