Nanny was an amazing woman and my entire family and I feel so blessed to have known her. She was a wonderful surrogate grandmother to us - as our grandparents always lived so far away. She had such a beautiful smile, kind heart, and gave such great hugs! I will always treasure the afghan she crocheted for me and there was nothing better than walking into the house and seeing her beautiful, smiling face every Christmas Eve. Such a special lady... they just don't make 'em like her any more. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. We love y'all so very much!

Tommie,
What a sad day upon hearing your telephone message regarding mom. It was just a week ago on Mother's Day that I talked to Mom and she sounding as she always did, no complaining and her voice was as strong as ever. I am glad Maria and I were able to spend some time with her last year and to be able to tell her how much she meant to me. I will always remember her trip to Albuquerque and taking her to the Balloon Fiestival...this was very special for me and Maria.
Your dad and mom treated me like one of their sons and I will always cherish that. The last words I heard from mom on Mother's Day was "thanks for calling and I love you". You had a special mother and I will miss her.

I had just talked on the phone to Mrs. C. earlier this week, and for that I am most grateful. That sweet voice will remain with me forever. To Tommy, Wadine, and family --- my deepest sympathy. I am heartbroken over the loss of this dearest friend who, along with Mr. C., played such a huge role in my family's lives. What a cherished friendship. What beautiful memories.

Tommy, I am sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. I haven't seen or talked to you in years, but saw the obituary and feel your loss, I lost my mother three years ago. I worked at the Torch for a few years just in case you can't place me.
