Laverne "Vernie" Barrios

Vernie was the sweetest lady and holds a very special place in our hearts. Her precious memories will continue to stay with all of us. I know she is rejoicing in her new "home", totally healed and restored.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I'm glad to have known Aunt Vernie; I know she was a special person in your lives and will always be that. It's keeping memories alive that give us the true worth of who she was.

I thought the world of your mother. She was an elegant lady and I have fond memories of her. When I would pass through Winnie, I would stop by and sit with her for a few minutes. She did not know me but she would smile as I held her hand and talked to her. Now at long last she is at peace. God bless you and your family.

She was the last of all my aunt. I still remember all the 4th of
July events we had. It was always a house full.

Geri, Sheila and Barry - One of my fondest memories of Vernie is about her wonderful hamburgers. When we were in High School, me, Geri, and Julie took turns cooking on Fridays at lunch. I was always so excited to go to your house cause we knew Vernie was cooking hamburgers!!! Julie and I usually had to open up a can of tuna or can of Campbells! It was very special that Vernie could be at home and make us a great lunch! We love you guys and you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
