On the Wright side of the family Joe was the oldest grandchild and then I was next ,and Jack was the third , as kids we had lots of fun, When Joe was in school in Albuguerque and I was living their we did a lot of things to getherI saw my 1st Ice Capade with Joe, He was always so patient with my kids, all were very young at that time, As time went on we lost touch but Joe came to my mothers 90th birthday party in Quemqdo NM and it seemed like time has stood still , older but still so much of the same patient Joe.... I know Joe was at peace with the world . and not afarid of the here after , Rest in Peace my Friend, my cousin.....

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Joe's family. He was the "older cousin" and was always so considerate and watchful over the younger ones. I loved seeing the video - it brought back memories and you could see how much he treasured his family. Joe was a kind, sensitive soul who loved his family, and he will be missed. God Bless!

Every year at our Merrick reunion, Joe has been my special treat to get to find and hug. I try not to be rude to other cousins as I walked past them to get to sweet Joe. Whether he thought so or not, I felt that we had an understanding of affection for one another. At least, that's the feeling he always lent to me; and I loved him for it. Always will. Thanks for sharing him with me. I'm better for it. Love, Ann

My relationship with Joe was through business. He was the kindest and most respectfull client that I spoke to. He would call every day at 3:30 and we all looked forward to his calls. Sometimes we would talk business, sometimes not. A lot of times we talked baseball, oh how he loved his Texas Rangers, and disliked my Boston Red Sox, but we remained friends. I miss him very much.
