I am so sorry to here about Mr. Wadenpfuhl passing. I was a student of his some 37 years ago. As I think back to all the great teachers that I was blessed to have, Mr. Wadenpfuhl stands at the top. He was so passionate about music and wanting to teach us how to play. He will always be remembered. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family.

I remember Mr. Wadenpfuhl in my 2 years at Marshall back in 1971 & 1972. He was always so kind and caring and gentle with the kids. I always noticed how he handled the kids during lunch, never a bad experience with anyone. And I wasn't even a band student. A very special person. May The Lord hold you close during this time.

My prayers for your family

My condolences to Mary Claire and members of her and Ray's family. I was one of those young band members at Covington HS in the early 50s when he started his career as well as being a bandmate of Mary Claire's twin sisters, Lynn and Lynell. Lynell married my best friend John and I am fortunate in that we maintain that relationship today. The influence of Ray and one of his predecessors at CHS caused me to follow a similar career, as a high school and college band director. I applaud and thank him for allowing me that privilege.

Our sincere condolences to the Wadenpfuhl family. Mr. Wadenpfuhl taught all the Perricone sisters how to play flutes and clarinets at Marshall Jr. High and we all have very fond memories of him and our times in band class. He was a very patient and kind man and will always, always be remembered as having positively impacted our lives. God bless you.

We're so sorry for your loss. Ray was very dear to us.
We also regret that we are unable to attend the services as we are in South Carolina with our family.
Our prayers are with the family.

Words are insufficient to convey my respect for Ray. His constant encouragement and support over several years were beyond wonderful. Surely, he was one of the kindest people I ever met. Grace & Peace to you, Mary Claire, and to your family.
