Bettie O. Horne Childress

I have very fond memories of Mrs. Childress from Inez St. "days". It was a good neighborhood with excellent moral values and neighbors that participated in watching over the kids of all households and Mrs. Childress did a great job. She will be remembered. May God comfort her family.

We lived a number of years next door to the Childress family. The kids in the neighbor spent many hours playing at their home. I remember Mrs. Childress sometimes playing hoops with us in their back year. She even introduced me to the pleasure of fried spam in sandwiches when I sometimes ate lunch there when playing! My condolences to Roxane, Lloyd and their familiesw in the loss of their mother. She will be missed by all!

My family enjoyed many years living on Inez near the Childress family. Roxanne and Lloyd we are very sorry for your loss. Our Moms are together in eternity now.
