I have always called Mr. Serres "Coach". He was MY Coach in Junior High and High School. He was a Man of integrity, honesty and most of all cared about HIS students. I was amazed at how he could teach any subject when other teachers were absent....any subject. Coach was/is a Marine. Later in life he shared with me stories from Korea and no bragging...just doing his job. I was so Blessed to have Raced Motorcycles and for those of you who do not know the Serres Family had Pleasure Island Moto X Track for several years. He didn't do this for money but to keep it open to where we would have a place to Race and stay out of trouble. I would be surprised if he broke even on the track...but he was on a mission and he, as always, followed through. I have to thank his three Children for allowing me to be a part of the Family in the days that we Raced and Mrs. Serres was a tremendous cook and always made sure we felt welcome. God Speed Coach Serres as you will be missed.

Dear family and friends of this gentle and loving teacher, both in swimming as a young child and later in class--biggest crush I ever had on a daddy figure, and I needed one. I am so sorry for you lose and pray that his last days were peaceful. I think of him often when I fondly remember certain people who were positive influences on me. Blessings to you all, Linda Eastis Cobb--Nederland student, teacher, and admirer
