Rodney was a very good friend in Spurger Elementary, where he was consistent friend when things were rough and when times were calm. We even hung around the church when it was still on the school grounds.

I was lucky enough to share my high school years with Rodney and I have so many great memories of just hanging out together. He was my best friend in high school. He was really good at cleaning out our refrigerator of leftovers! Remembering him dance to "Wipe Out" still makes me laugh. I just wish we would have stayed in touch all these years. Rest in peace, Rodney.

I will always remember Rodney for his kind and caring spirit. We were best of friends in high school. Rodney led us to several district championship and was awarded a well deserved MVP his Senior year. I will never forget his smooth and perfect jump shot that seemed to always score.

Rest in Peace my friend.

My heart goes out to the family! May Rodney rest in peace and the family seek comfort in the fact that he's in a better place. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

I sincere believe that Rodney made a decision to accept Christ as his Lord and Savior and based on this I fully expect to see him again in Glory following the Last Trumpet Call. I do know that Rodney was a kind and compassionate man. Life here on earth was unkind and even cruel to him, yet, all I ever saw and heard about him was Christlike compassion and understanding: behaviors that many of us that call ourselves "Christians" would do well to emulate.

I am proud to have been Rodney's brother during his short stay here on earth and look forward to being his Brother throughout eternity.
