The loss of a love one is so hard to face,
you just want to hide,
go some where and escape!
But death is something,
we all must go through,
I know it’s hard,
when it’s someone you loved and knew.

Just know now,
she is in a better place,
no more hurt or pain shall she face.
It seems unfair and yes this is true,
but she is in Heaven now
watching over us and you!

God has called him home to rest!!
And she’s being well taken care of
Because God knows best!

Dear, sweet, goofball Vicki,
we still can't believe that you are really gone. you are sooo missed! i still see you and Dian walking down the street and your hand waving through the window of your car as you pass by. who would have thought that you'd be taken so soon... we were praying so hard that you would win the battle and in a way, you have. all your earthly things have been traded for a mansion!
your attitude was so wonderful--such an inspiration when i am having a bad day. you had a smile for everyone and never met a stranger. thanks for all you did for mom--she loved you like her own and she misses talking to you terribly.
the world is a little darker without your smile.
'til we meet again....

Like so many other people, Vicki and I met through our employment at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. After many years of only a few words to each other on the phone, Vicki said to me one day "Hey we have to stop meeting like this, can you meet me in the cafeteria today for a quick lunch so we can put a face to our voices?" We did and our friendship became closer. Vicki always conveyed a feeling of security and confdence when she answered the phone and she had a smile in her voice and a positive attitude about everything. She always inquired about my family's welfare, especially my dad's and made one believe her welfare was on the mend. The last time I had the pleasure to hear her voice , shortly before Christmas, for a few precious moments she said to me, "There's been some changes with me, things are not the same, but I'm going to be okay." "I will call you later and tell you about it." Vicki I miss you already, but know that God is comforting you in his garden. Your memory will always be with me and we will have a long lunch together one day with no time limit. I feel blessed to have known you. Aunt Betty my prayers are with you and the family and thanks for everything you did for Vicki. Call me for anything and I hope to see you soon. Nancy

To the family of Vicki. I was her mail lady and she always had a smile when I saw her. As her and Diane made there daily walk, she was so friendly. I will miss her. Rest in peace and one day we will meet again. Thoughts and prayers to her family.

My sweet, sweet neighbor. Your brave, coureagous fight is over. May God welcome you to his tender loving care. You will be sorely missed by all of us who love you on Lay Avenue in Groves. We battled breast cancer together and you are truly triumphant - a survivor in God's embrace. Will miss seeing you & Dian coming down the street. You were an amazing "Momma" to your beloved Dian. Rest in peace my sweet, dear friend.
