May God comfort you with the assurance Sam is but asleep until the ressurrection. He is God's servant rejoicing with our Lord Jesus Christ in the spirit. I thank the Lord for his friendship and touching my life with his quick wit and great smile. You will be missed but you remain in our hearts. Rejoice for God has healed him.

We just got the sad news today that our dear friend and advisor has passed on to greater things. Sam was one of the most brilliant men we have ever known. He will be missed by all.

Sam.....a dear friend who will be greatly missed. We only knew him for a short while, but immediately found a common bond in the love for the Lord. He was special! Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Being married by Sam was just the beginning for us in knowing such a wonderful man. And throughout our journey together thus far, his walk with God is a strong pillar of example we look to. And in honor of what he stood for, and what he gave us. Today, as husband and wife we pledged before each other and God to do better, and walk closer to our Lord. We are so very blessed to have known Samuel Jernigan.

I was so sorry to hear of Sam's passing. What a legacy of giving and being a witness for Christ he has left! He was a wonderful man, and I know you will all miss him very much. May your wonderful memories and the knowledge that he is now in the company of angels bring you comfort in the days ahead.

Uncle Sam, All the memories I have of you are sweet ones. You are wonderful, wise and witty. You have shown your family and friends what a true Man of God lives and loves like. And now you have shown us the way home to our Heavenly Father. We will all be together in heaven. Until then we will hold the memories of you in our hearts. We all love you... I love you, Paula
