I was so heartbroken to hear of Shelby's passing. I taught her in 4th grade and remember her being so sweet, well behaved, and a hard worker. May it bring you comfort to know God has welcomed her home. I am praying for all of you during this most difficult time.

My prayers go out to your family. Shelby was such a beautiful young lady. My nieces attended school with her for a couple years before we moved to Hamshire and they remember how sweet and loving she was and were upset to hear the news. Your family will stay in our prayers.

I am very sorry for your loss. I did not know your precious Shelby, but many of her friends and my son's friends are intertwined. I have never met your family, but I know your pain, I lost my 17 year old son in november 2008. there will be darkness and sorrow for the rest of our lives, but we will also find moments of joy. I pray that God will wrap you in his loving, comforting arms and help you on this journey. we never ask for the title of grieving parent, nor do we want to wear these horrible concrete shoes, but someday, I hope we find a way to make them a little more comfortable until we can be with our children again. I am deeply saddened to hear of another wonderful young person being snatched away on a cold dark night, but I can tell you from experience, we have an amazing community and you will be constantly held up in prayer.
God Bless you and keep you and may Shelby's smiles rain down on you daily and warm your heart

Although the right words can not be found to ease the pain that Shelby's family and friends are going through , I will be praying for comfort and love during this, the most difficult of times.
