Opal,
I haven't seen ya'll in a while but both of you were wonderful during the growing up with TSTA! All of the marches and passing out flyers for those that were running for office plus the late night meetings. You and Charles will always have a special place in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I served on the TSTA Board when Charles was president. His work at TSTA help make it a great advocate for public education. I went on to serve as President of TSTA for 1997-2002.

Dear Opal and Family,
I was so sorry to hear about Charles' passing. As I think of him, I'm reminded of his tremendous passion and committment to the well-being of teachers and school employees. He was an inspiration to all around him and to all who worked with him. His presidency of TSTA was the catalyst for true advocacy for the association and the profession. Charles was a great man and a strong leader with an extrordinary level of integrity. I truely loved working with him and he will be greatly missed.
With Deepest Sympathy,
Jay
