White Tire was one of my first jobs. It was an honor to work for and with Jerry. He taught me many things that I still use today, 30 years later. What a wonderful man. May God bless the White family during this time.

In the sixties, I was hired by Jerry's dad J.C. as a tire changer during the summers planning for college.

Then in the seventies, I came back to work as a salesman for Jerry while completing my degree at Lamar.

My work ethics and habits were learned both by him and his Dad and stayed with me until I retired last year.

Honesty, integrity, and loyality were learned from him both in what he taught me and by his daily actions.

I will never forget the white shirt and shorts(worn both winter and summer)wjich were a unique trade mark to a unique man who will be missed by all.

Dear White family, As a fellow Rotarian, I remember Jerry always having a question to ask each speaker who visited our club. He was always asking the tough questions, too. I will miss his kindness and his inquisitiveness. My prayers are with you.

Our loss is certainly Heaven's gain. I met Jerry because of our shared passion about tires and cars, but we became friends because of his willingness to help a young guy learn about things far more important than tires. He loved to ask questions, and better still, he refused to accept nonsensical answers from people. Oh, the stories that could be told about that! When a hurricane went through Beaumont a few years ago, I was concerned for Jerry and Norma. But when I finally reached Jerry, he was tired but pleased that his company had found a way to open and start repairing emergency responders' vehicles and their tires. Jerry was giving back and helping his community. That's my friend Jerry. All my thoughts are with Norma and the family.
