Aimee touched the hearts and souls of so many people. Her calm, analytical thinking and generous heart provided direction and gave guidance to those of us who loved her. I will always love Aimee as my friend and mentor.

Ms. Aimee, Beloved Sister-in-law,

I miss our bi-weekly telephone conversations. You were the link to your niece and nephew and their children in California. We had some great times together, lots of laughs on our Reno trips and our touring San Francisco and the bay area. So many years of memories. I thank you for being with me, and the comfort you gave me in 2001. Gayle and I had such a great time when we went to your home in 2006, Smokey took us to Louisiana, I got to see Irma. The pork roast and the butter beans you cooked for us was out of this world, only a cajun can do. I shall always remember your delicious pork fingers.Your family in California love you. You will always be with us in our hearts.

Always

Esther

Smokey and Big Lisa I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. I will always remember playing in the back yard in her fig trees and getting in so much trouble. She will be greatly missed by everyone.

One vivid memory I have is of a trip Me, Mom, and Tana took to New Orleans. On our way we visited with Miss Aimee in Texas. She sure loved showing off all of the sights. She took us to an all you can eat restaurant, Sartin’s I think. I did not want to go because I do not like seafood. Miss Aimee promised me I could have a steak. After we were seated and started to order steak was NOT on the menu. (surprise) Auntie insisted it was not a problem because she ordered me all-you-can-eat special Cajun chicken legs. I was so excited! I ate and ate. I ate so much I passed on dessert. Then Auntie really surprised me by telling me I was eating frog legs. Ha ha ha. Later in New Orleans, Auntie bought me a custom-made T-shirt that said "Proud to be a Coon Ass." Then back in California, when I wore it to school I was sent me home for the day and told not to wear it to school again!

Miss Aimee thank you for the many treasured memories. You instilled in me a great pride for my Cajun heritage. I am very proud to be a Coon Ass.
You may be gone from us now, but never ever will you be forgotten.

"Tantie, tu es bien aimee!"

Mrs. Miller (MEME) was a very sweet lady! Psalm 34:18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. During this difficult time I pray that the family and friends draw close to the LORD. MEME is no longer suffering or in pain!!! Take comfort in knowing that!! MEME you are loved and will be missed by many! Rest in Peace!!
