Durwood Daniel Johnson

Dear Mrs. Johnnie:

My whole family sends their prayers and hopes for comfort to you and your loved ones. I know your world will not be the same without him, just like this store is not the same without you.

Our prayers are with the family and friends.

When I see in the newspapers the losses of old friends and acquaintances, I'm reminded how short our lives are and oftentimes regret the neglect of nurturing those friendships. This morning was such a day for me. As I read your dad's name, visions of our families sharing some really fun times surfaced in my mind. Our visits to your home for some homemade ice cream, making plans to do this or that with the science group, sharing meals, watching a young Durwood skiing with such skill and precision, his handsome smile and friendly manner to everyone made him a welcome sight wherever he went. I will always remember times shared with the young Johnson family of Port Neches and I will always remember a happy young teacher, dad and friend named Durwood.

We love and miss you and will always cherish the many years of memories that we have together.

So sorry to hear about your loss, Ms. Johnnie, Durwood was a very sweet man and will be surely missed by all. I will continue to pray for your family. If you need anything at all please let me know.
