This is the 2nd part to my first post. If you get time and don't mind please email me. I lost my cousin in 2010 to cancer after only 21 days of her going to the doctor for the first time. I would really like to speak to you about my fond memories of Kim. She was just a great person. I found out about Kim because I have been thinking about her and tried to find her on the internet. I was so shocked when I found out what happened to her. As I said it has been years since we have talked but something made me look her up. I did more research and found out a lot about her fight for so many years and what a brave person. It doesn't surprise me the way I remember Kim to read all the wonderful things everyone has written about her. I just can't remember her without a smile. She was truly a special person and anyone who knew her was blessed to know her. My thoughts and my prayers are with you. Laura Wilson

I am so sorry to hear about Kim. I worked with Kim at SoundTrek in the 1980s and I have just found out about her passing. Kim was a beautiful person inside and out. She had a beautiful smile and was always just a positive and glowing person to be around. We had lots of fun working together. I moved to Atlanta in 1987 and Kim and I visited a few times then but I have not talked to her in many years. I am very sad and wish that I could have spent more time with her. We all get busy and let time go by. I just wish she and I had stayed in touch. PLEASE SEE NEXT MESSAGE. Laura Wilson

I have just learned of Kim's passing and wanted to express to her family how highly I regarded her. I first met Kim when she came to Piedmont hospital for treatment with Gamma Knife. I was so impressed with her sunny nature and love of life. She was one of my most memorable patients in my 30 plus year career in medicine. I last saw her when she and the rest of my team had a photo shoot for the Elekta calendar. She was her usual bubbly self and made us all laugh. After Kim spoke at one of Piedmont's 20 year celebrations for Gamma Knife, I had multiple people come up to me afterwords and say how inspired they were by Kim and the other patients who told their stories. I will always remember her and I hope to have a just a fraction of her spirit if I am ever faced with an illness myself. God Bless her family and friends.

Everything that could possibly be said to honor Kimmie sounds like such a cliche. But when it came to her, it was absolutely true. In difficulty she showed us how to never back down. In sadness she showed us how to smile. Against all odds she showed us how to set the terms for those odds by proving timelines are just somebody else's can't-see-past point. I miss you, lady. I'll always be grateful for you.

To one of my oldest and dearest friends...
I'm going to miss you more than you'll ever know. You and your family will always have a place in my heart. Tell Grannie I'm still making her squash casserole and you look for me down the road. Love you Kimmie...

Kim has brightened the lives of all who knew her, and I am certainly no exception. I met Kim when she was a contract IT trainer at BellSouth. I loved her immediately...the great smile, warm laugh, infectious, fun personality. We remained friends through the years, and I so blessed to have had the privilege and pleasure of sharing some of her precious life. I am still mourning her leaving us but am consoled by the knowledge that she is now one of our heavenly angels. We love you Kim! Lynne

To the Family,
Never did I want to see this day come. I met Kim @ PHOC where she came for her chemo treatments. Never have I seen someone so courageous and strong. Kim and her mom always wore a big smile, had such a beautiful spirit, no matter how big there problem was. Kim, made everyone around her feel special, and she was such a delightful lady. I enjoyed seeing her coming into the office wearing that beautiful smile of hers. Kim I know that you have arrived in that beautiful place called HEAVEN. A place where there is no more pain, suffering nor sorrow. I will miss your smile but never will I forget you. Mom Vining you are a wonderful and strong person and was a great support for Kim.
Tammie
