Thomas "Tom" Charles Whitson

Mr. Whitson inspired many young musicians. He was a kind teacher and I was one of his lucky students. I was glad to see he retired to his hometown, and sorry to hear of his illness and passing too late for "reconnection". Former students will always remember him fondly.

I have wonderful, happy memories of being part of the Cleburne High School Band led by Tom Whitson and believe there are many who also remember the fun, laughter and special bond we shared as part of this group. Tom Whitson created this environment for us. That was 40 some-odd years ago and I still smile. Thank you Mr Whitson. Rest in peace.

My husband and I were members of the Cleburne Fighting Yellow Jacket Band in the late 60's. Mr. Whitson meant a lot to many of us at CHS and we will always cherish those fun memories. We are sorry for your loss.

I was one of Mr. Whitson's beginner band students. He made band such fun. Blessings to you who will miss him.

We will miss Tom in the Trinity choir. I have enjoyed being in the choir with him and extend my sympathies to his family and friends. sandra clark

I just want to say how sorry I am of your fathers-uncles passing. I went out with him several times and he is a man that you should be proud of. He was a very pleasant, funny and honorable person. I feel blessed to have gotten to know him. May he rest in our Lord's arms with his loved ones that have gone on before him. Rest in peace Tom.
