Walter lived behind us on 1800 bloock of Prairie. knew him then and thru school. He ended up in Co. H 143rd. Inf.2nd Battalion 36th Division Texas Nartional Guard. Capt. Mike Codinos was leader of Co. H at that time. Walter was a cook
in the unit. I appreciated the time spent with him then ad I was a Master Sgt. of 81 Mortaar squad. He wanted to fire the mortar so we let him. He slid the round in the top of mortar and ran about 20 yards before the shell hit bottom and came out the barrell????? I stayed in 24 years.
Do not forget his service in the National Guard

Jo,
We are heart-broken to hear of Walter's passing.
It seems like yesterday we gathered in your classroom for morning prayers at the old middle school.
Keeping you in a special corner of my heart and sending prayers of comfort for the days ahead.
Love you my dear Jo.

Walter had been on my mind and in my heart constantly for the last couple of weeks, but health reasons kept me from contact. You should always listen to your intervoice. See you soon my dear old friend.

Kevin,
You and your family have my sympathy. When I worked for Capital One Bank (and its predecessors) your father was one of my favorite customers. I loved his 'signature.' May God be with you at this most difficult time.

We met "Uncle" Walter once after Lisa had the opportunity to meet this part of the Sekaly family. It was like we had been part of his family from day one. He was sweet and kind to both of us and to our son. He and Jo Carolyn, along with Darold his step son brought us into Darold's home without ever meeting us and made us family within minutes. Our heart and love goes out to the entire family. We Love You All. God Bless You.

So sorry for your loss to you and your family.
I know he was a great husband. You were so lucky
to have had all these years together. He will be in my prayers.
