Thanks for being an inspiration to us all. My daughter is Abby's age and they started dance together at iRule the first year it was open. Thanks for the memories we shared as "Dance Moms".

Always a warm smile, such talent, a sweet friend. I will always remember Teresa. I love the way she talked about Brian and Abby around the station. Her love for her family is powerful, and ever present. Prayers for the family, our bright star is gone too soon.

I worked weekends with Teresa on La99 radio in Lake Charles Louisiana. We shared alot of laughs together. I remember her smile being from ear to ear. I was very saddened by the news of her passing. God Bless Teresa's family during this difficult time.

For me Teresa's bright lite will always shine in my memory. Working with her was a delight, because you never quite knew what to expect. The one constant was a smiling face that boosted the spirits of everyone around her. Teresa loved life and especially her family. I know there's a special place in Heaven reserved for her.

Teresa and I worked together at Clear Channel in Beaumont, on radio station KCOL Cool 92.5. She was one of the most amazing people I've ever met. That bright smile and positive outlook on life just made your day that much better. She was a true friend. A friend who will be missed by the many people whos life she touched.

Teresa’s Advice: Smile
Teresa Hanson Burns. What a spirit. We met Teresa, Abby and Brian for the first time Christmas Eve 2009. They came in and we fell in love with them all from that moment we met. They made themselves at home and I think that is why we became friends with them all so fast. Never was there a moment on uneasiness, we just felt like good friends from the start.
We began to work with Teresa at the same station doing talk shows, her doing one and us doing another and from time to time we would have live remotes. I had to work a remote with Teresa and Emily and Liv came along. Like us, the Burns’ roll the same way….were they go, the daughter goes. So Teresa, I and a few others were working and our families were with us, another reason why I think we gelled so well. After the gig, the four of us decided to have drinks for about another two hours. We could talk to Brian and Teresa for hours. We finished up and Teresa asked if Liv could come over and play..it was mid afternoon, what the heck. Liv’s 3 at this time and her first outing, away from mommy and daddy….with the Burns’…Teresa, Abby and Brian. As nervous as we were, Teresa gave us that smile and said, “it’s gonna be fine”.
The moment cancer became real to me was when I met Teresa. I had never been around anyone, never had a family member close to me with it, nothing. One night Teresa and Abby came over, Abby to play and Teresa drink some wine with us, poor Brian, he had to pull the shift at the station…up by 2am to do the morning show, so he was unable to attend. But that night we stayed up till 1am in the morning and Teresa told us her story. What type of cancer she had, how she was doing, about all the chemo and her outlook on life.
See no matter what Teresa was going through, she kept a smile on her face. As we watched her, no matter her condition she was upbeat, full of life. Thats what I’m going to miss about Teresa. I hope that her gift to smile, to laugh was shared with you.
Teresa passed, leaving behind a incredible man, Brian and a most beautiful daughter, Abby. Abby has been blessed tremendously with many traits of her mothers personality, we get to know little Abby and see all the beauty of Teresa in her.
We will truly miss you Teresa Hanson Burns, you were a good friend, with great advice…….smile.

Brian - I just heard the devastating news. I don't know what to say so I'll say this: My heart goes out to you and Abby at this - the saddest of times. Sharon and I both worked with Teresa at KAAM. Our prayers and sympathies are with you and your family.
